A graduate from Douglas J Aveda Institute in East Lansing, Michigan, Kelly has a passion for cutting edge haircuts and color but maintains an appreciation for classic and natural styles as well. A former student of Interior Design, she employs her knowledge of color and design theory into every style she creates.

Always looking to improve her skills, she continues her education with Aveda advanced classes. Recent classes she has attended involved Aveda advanced color design, Aveda deep color class (designed to achieve high lift on dark shades of hair), men's current cutting and color trends, curly hair principles, Aveda advanced red and chocolate color classes, Serious Business and Fast Track, My Shape (creating color and cuts based on face shape/body type), and is scheduled to attend two more cutting workshops later this year.
