FRONTLINE RECEPTIONIST / GUEST SERVICES COORDINATOR


Garbo A Salon & Spa is looking to add one Frontline Sales and Guest Services Coordinator to our Tribe. To join our team, you must be a person who aspires to go the distance, to succeed, build a career, and to thrive within our tribe and our company.

Garbo is a multi-location, 36 year veteran of the industry, a Salon Today Top 200 winner, and the recipient of the Austin Chronicle 2014 Readers’ Poll award for the best hair salon in Austin. We are looking to find just one person to grow with our company.

Position requirements:

Experience with SalonBiz or another common salon Point of Sales system is preferred. Proficiency with Excel, Word, Outlook, and Filing Skills a must. Phone and advanced interpersonal communication skills are necessary. Garbo has a very high call volume on a 4 line system with calls that roll over from our South location. You must also be able to type 40+ words per minute and be skilled with data entry and tracking of numbers.

You are goal oriented and strong in setting and following deadlines with proper prioritization and follow-through on multiple fronts. You are sales minded; motivated and excited to achieve and push your tribe to hit certain sales goals. You understand marketing and social media, and are able to build and execute social media campaigns and marketing schemes. You have experience with Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, and will enjoy showcasing the work of the tribe. You are exceptional, motivated, and a tribe player who is eager to learn and apply their knowledge in an environment of integrity and love for each other, our guests, and our shared passion for service.

You manage time, space, people, and money in a pleasant and positive manner without frustration. Responsibilities

As part of our team, you will be responsible for a high-touch customer service environment and coordinate daily activities of the front line to deliver excellent customer service from check-in to check-out. This includes greeting guests and booking appointments. Promote Aveda products to guests and offer complimentary makeup touch-ups. Up-sell salon and spa services. Oversee daily activities of the stylists including managing customer flow and addressing customer concerns as needed. Manage salon team to achieve company goals for stylists' services, retail sales and customer retention. Promote new product launches and create inviting merchandising in the retail area. Coordinate bridal parties and manage bridal contracts. Produce a stream of content for our social media outlets.

You will be expected to work two evenings per week until 9 p.m. and Saturday or Sunday. You may be required to travel occasionally for business or educational events. This is a full-time position, with a training period 3 to 6 months before assuming all duties of the position.

You must have 2 years of experience in a service business such as salon, spa, retail or hospitality industry. Experience with Aveda products or other premier product lines is preferred but not required. No phone calls will be accepted! Please email resume.
